Privacy information
Updated 26 October 2026 · policy version 2026-10-09AURA is a dating and social service for adults aged 18 and over. These pages explain the current service and how to contact us about your data.
Optional Honeygain bandwidth sharing
Where offered in the Android app, Honeygain lets you voluntarily support AURA by sharing part of your unused internet connection. Honeygain customers can route network traffic through your device and public IP address. AURA receives the resulting developer revenue; clicking the consent button does not itself create cash or redeemable points.
Sharing requires a separate Honeygain consent screen. It runs only while AURA is open, you are signed in, and your device is connected to Wi-Fi that is not marked as metered. Withdraw consent at any time in Settings. Signing out or switching AURA accounts also revokes consent. This integration does not send your AURA account details, photos or messages to Honeygain. Honeygain handles the network and device information needed for its service under its own privacy policy, linked in the sharing settings.
Account and profile
AURA processes your account email, authentication identifiers, age confirmation and the profile information you choose to provide. Your date of birth is stored privately to confirm adult registration and calculate your current profile age. Other members see your age, not your date of birth. A public nickname and uploaded photos are chosen in AURA; signing in with Google does not authorize importing them into your public profile. Profile details, interests and preferences can reveal sensitive information about you. Share only what you want other members to see.
Sensitive profile information and consent
Membership and profile preferences may reveal sexual orientation and sex-life information. Before member features are enabled, AURA asks separately for explicit processing consent for the dating profile, matching and communication, and for acceptance of the terms and community rules. A versioned server record and consent-change receipts record these choices. Optional location, AI and analytics are separate and default to off. You can withdraw processing consent in Settings. Dating features that depend on it pause, your profile becomes unavailable to other members, and your data-access and deletion controls remain available. Necessary authentication, security, legal reporting and retention may continue on the applicable legal basis; withdrawal is not the same as erasing all records.
Location and media
If you separately allow location processing and device permission, AURA uses coordinates for nearby discovery. Public profiles reveal at most a coarse area. Unknown, unreviewed or elevated-risk regions hide member-facing coordinates and distances and disable live location and precise location sharing. Regional decisions use a country signal verified by the service, not GPS collected just to determine a country. Region signals can be wrong and are not legal advice or a guarantee of personal safety. HIDDEN removes location from member-facing profiles. Withdrawing location consent clears stored profile coordinates and stops further live updates. Previously delivered location messages and recipient copies may remain until separately deleted.
Your reusable chat album is stored privately on AURA services, rather than scanning the whole device gallery. You choose each photo through the device picker. Sending creates a separate attachment for the selected conversation. Removing an album source does not recall copies already sent. Account erasure includes your owned uploaded media, subject to the disclosed deletion process.
Camera and microphone access is requested when you choose the corresponding feature. A voice recording starts after you choose to record; you can preview or discard it before sending. Denying a device permission prevents that feature without blocking ordinary text chat. Messages and uploaded media are stored on AURA services; do not assume end-to-end encryption. Timed photos cannot prevent recipients from photographing the screen or keeping another copy.
Service providers and payments
AURA uses Google Cloud and Firebase for hosting, authentication and data services. Web payments are processed by Stripe; native store purchases are verified through the relevant store. AURA records purchase references, status and access periods, rather than receiving your full card number.
Conversation starters use local templates and do not send profile context or messages to an AI provider. Optional AI profile import sends the screenshots or accessible profile text you choose to Google Gemini only while your separate AI-assistance consent is enabled. Without this consent, screenshot analysis is blocked and link metadata is parsed without AI. Pasted profile text is parsed locally. You review and confirm the selected fields before saving. Public-profile text moderation uses Google Gemini for a separate, required safety purpose; withdrawing optional AI-import consent does not disable this screening. Mapping, external media and camera effects may contact their respective providers when used.
Selfie verification is currently unavailable. AURA does not request verification selfies or send them to AI through this feature. Any legacy verification evidence is private account data, excluded from public profiles; the owner can access/export it and revoke verification or erase the account. A profile badge is not proof of adult age, identity, liveness or personal safety.
Preferences and safety
Necessary account/session storage keeps you signed in and saves app preferences. Optional analytics and advertising preferences are controlled in Settings. Blocking, reporting, language selection and basic safety controls are free. Reports and relevant evidence can be reviewed to protect members and enforce the community rules.
Deletion and your choices
You can request access, correction or deletion through Settings or by emailing suporte@auragay.com. See Account deletion for the current process and limitations. Payment, abuse-prevention and moderation records may need separate retention and review. Contact us for details relevant to your request. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
